Stephen Nash Visits Riga; Meets Speaker of Latvian Parliament

Stephen Nash, Director of LINKS' London office, visited Riga on 15 March to discuss ways forward in Georgian-Latvian Parliamentary co-operation. LINKS initiated a Georgian Latvian parliamentary Dialogue in December 2001 with the support of the leadership of the two parliaments In Riga Stephen Nash met with the Speaker, Mrs Ingrida Udre, and other officials, and exchanged ideas about ways in which Latvia could share its EU accession experience with Georgia, and other possible areas of collaboration. He also met with Oskars Kastens, deputy chairman of the Saeima's European Affairs Committee, Maris Selga, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Atis Lejins, Director of the Latvian Institute of International Affairs."
